Overview & Reviews
The Grand Prix underwent a redesign for 2004, but those familiar with the big sedan will find its blend of performance and comfort hasn't changed much.
- Strong supercharged V6, nimble handling, attractive gauges, easy-to-use controls, big trunk, fold-flat front-passenger seat.
- Build and materials quality still needs work, tight backseat, noisy engine, not enough storage or cupholders, no auto climate control.

Good value and fun ride - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By doogienj - October 21 - 2:00 amI just got this car as a company car to replace my Chevy Impala LS. This is a mans car. The engine has a nice roar to it, though a bit noisy. This car accelerates like a rocket at stand still and 70MPH. Passing and merging has become fun:) I am also very pleased with the general handling and suspenstion. I would like a little more power steering when parking. The cockpit is well designed and easy to use. Trunk room is plentful. I wish they had used metal inside instead of cheap looking plastic.

TOPSHELFGTP-This thing goes!! - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By antsman - August 5 - 11:10 pmalmost a year since ive purchased it and its still great fun to drive. car runs like a demon. i never thought id purchase an american car, but this thing is tops! great looking car even standing still, hot wheels, and a relatively functional interior to boot. trunk is huge and monsoon system rocks. how a car this good ever got past the generals bean counters is beyond me. but i had to have that engine......and there it is.

Best American Car Ever - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By I love it - July 17 - 3:00 amI got my car on my birthday I have a maxima since 2001 I love that car with 200000 on it no problems. My Grand Prix drives on the highway better that any other car Ive owned. My max 8 years old but the handling is way better on the Grand Prix to bad pontiac is gone but maybe they might bring back the Grand Prix. I love the sterio the leather seats and traction control feels like the ground is dry in the rain and snow. I got a good one if your looking for one its a nice car. I have a 1994 BMW too I thought GM didnt compare I was wrong. My dealer got my to drive it I was hook since it hugs the road like a GT racing car.

Pontiac Out did Themselves - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By RickE41 - June 28 - 10:00 amI bought my car as a demo with 750 miles on the odometer. My first major roadtrip was from Detroit to Rochester MN. The car handled magnificantly on both Highway and backroad driving. Acceleration was superb and it was so much fun using the Tap Shift manual shifting around some of those corners in MN. Great car!!!

Unbelievable car ! - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Songbird - June 10 - 2:00 amHave owned 16 new GM cars - including a 68 GTO, two Trans Ams, and a supercharged 97 Riviera. This car takes a back seat to none of them. The handling is exceptionally TIGHT. I love the growl and bark of the powerful engine when you kick it in. Ive owned and driven many, many so called sports cars, but this is in a class of its own. You forget that you are in a sedan and not a sports coupe! A great, informative, and friendly dealer.

Great Car - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Big Sausage - June 4 - 10:00 amAfter two road trips from Tucson To Colorado I am very pleased to report that my GT 2 preformed very well on the freeway and thru the mountains. I got close to 30 mpg on both trips which was more then expected. Handled very well on tough Mt curves and was able to pass with no problems on the steep up grades. Over all I am pleased with the purchase and hope to keep this one for at least 3 years. And by the way, Im 63 and have no problem with head room as stated by other reviews.
